About Us

The goal of Little Bear DayCare is to provide a high quality early childhood setting for all of the children in the community at a lower price. We believe that it is very important for children to have a safe place to go while their parents are at work or school and that is exactly what you will find if you choose Little Bear DayCare for your child care needs.

Little Bear DayCare has been open since 2004 and began in Wellsburg, expanded to Follansbee in 2007 and Weirton in 2011.  Little Bear Millsop, located in the former LB Millsop Primary School on Marland Heights in Weirton, is now accepting applications for employment and enrollment.

LBDC of Follansbee and LBDC of Weirton have reached the Tier 2 level of quality. This means that our staff and environment go above and beyond the licensing requirements to provide the best possible atmosphere for you and your child.

Little Bear DayCa​re of Follansbee is a Brooke County Pre-K Collaborative site; this means that your child can receive preschool services at our center along with having the benefits of your child being enrolled in a county program.

Our Weirton location has an Early Head Start partnership for eligible children under the age of three. There are way too many benefits to this program to list here, please see click here for info.

All of our centers are equipped with keypads at the front doors for added security. This gives parents full access to their children during the day but keeps out "strangers". Each center is also set-up with a camera system that records 24/7, even in the dark. These are just a few of the ways Little Bear goes above and beyond what is required to provide the safest possible environment for your child.

We have a highly trained staff that love to work with children. Click on any of the links to see the classroom daily schedules to get an idea of what your child's day would be like but feel free to stop by anytime for a tour.

We offer a variety of rates to best suit each family's needs and also accept CCRC certificates as payment, as well as Ohio JFS clients.
